Words are a treasure. Choose them wisely — Rosa de Saron C.
Imagine a small treasure box filled with strips of words from your favorite vocabulary. Every time you come across a new word that seems interesting to you you can collect those words and keep them safe in your treasure box. When you’re ready you can pick them out one by one recalling words that are interesting to you.
I came across this idea one night when I was thinking about writing a story for freelance publications. I came across one word that I didn’t recall the meaning of and it seemed interesting to me. I remembered that I read somewhere that there are people who collect words and I wondered where they kept them.
Maybe there is a physical space where you can keep words and I thought of a treasure box.
It would be a small box that you can keep on your desk and dip into any time you want to recall words that are interesting to you.
This made me realize how special words are and the importance of choosing words wisely.
I one time read the impact that words have on plants. Maybe you have heard about it before.
There is a study on the internet that talks about how different types of music affect plants. For example, heavy metal rock music with harsh lyrics wilts plants but lyrical music with beautiful lyrics encourages growth in happy plants.
This study is meant to show the power of words and how a gentle or harsh word affects the listeners. Speakers have the power to bring death or life through their words and it is important to choose them wisely when speaking to our loved ones.
Do you collect words? If so what are some of your favorite words to collect? What is something you would say with those words. I would love to hear them in the comments.
